Volunteer Positions

We are fortunate to have a myriad of dedicated and qualified individuals volunteering their time for our campers. Our volunteers have varied backgrounds: they are physicians, social workers, college students, teachers, computer programmers, and other professionals. What is the one thing they have in common? They care about providing the best camp experience possible!

There is a wide variety of functions that are required to ensure a great camp experience for our campers, and we are always excited to include new volunteers into our Campily. Here is an example of some of our volunteer positions:

Counselors

Counselors spend their days:

  • interacting with campers one-on-one and in small groups
  • coordinating daily acitvities
  • taking their campers horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and numerous other outdoor adventures

Counselors stay in a cabin with a group of campers throughout the camp’s duration.

Activity Counselors

Activity Counselors spend their days:

  • interacting with campers one-on-one and in small groups
  • planning and coordinating small group and full camp activities
  • coordinating logistics of camp functions
  • preparing for the ever popular Jello War

Activity Counselors are not assigned to a specific cabin group, but dedicate their time to ensuring an exciting camp program for all of the campers.

Kitchen Staff

Feeding a small army of campers and volunteers is no easy task! Kitchen staff spend their days:

  • interacting with campers one-on-one and in small groups
  • preparing three meals a day and snacks for 100-200 people
  • coordinating all kitchen functions

Just because our kitchen staff spend a lot of time cooking does not mean they are stuck in the kitchen! Our kitchen staff also get to participate in camp activities and interact directly with campers!

Medical Staff

We are always looking for oncology doctors and nurses to volunteer. Medical staff spend their days:

  • interacting with campers one-on-one and in small groups
  • providing medical care for campers
  • ensuring medications are properly handled and administered
  • ensuring the overall safety of campers and volunteers

Our medical staff are essential in providing a safe yet exciting camp environment for our campers and volunteers!
